
The “First” First Friday will include eight venues throughout Downtown Anderson. A Town Center, Inc. will be featuring their artists, including, Caryn Gorman, Pip the Potter, Karen Upperman and Levi Rinker, with appetizers, drinks, and live music, 5-8 pm.
Anderson Museum of Art will extend their gallery hours until 8 pm to feature the Furniture Guild of Indiana Artisans. Greg Adams will also be demonstrating making willow trellises on the museum lawn, 5:30-7:30 pm.
Inside the Union Building, two organizations, the Art Association of Madison County and East Side Studios will have a “pop-up shop” featuring potters, Kameron Robinson and Chelsea Dawson, as well as other art for sale from local artists.
Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre will be presenting the live comedy/drama “I Hate Hamlet” directed by Sara Fields with curtain at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 each.
Park Place Arts, a gallery, custom frame shop, and other art services will have extended hours until 9 pm on First Friday.
For food, spirits, and entertainment three new Downtown Anderson establishments will take part. Jackrabbit Coffee will have special extended hours until 9 pm. Kettle Top Brewhouse will have drink specials and feature live music performed by “Sugar Heat” starting at 8 pm. Oakley Brothers Distillery is offering special $4 Moscow Mules and half price Flatbreads for First Friday.
