2nd Annual Flagship International Symposium  Planned for February 13, 2018, Anderson, INAnderson, Indiana – Flagship Enterprise Center and the Corporation for Economic Development will host the 2nd Annual Flagship International Symposium within the Ivy Tech Community College located at 815 East 60th Street, Anderson, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 9am. Planned in collaboration with The International Center, LUNA Language Services, America China Society of Indiana and the Japan-American Society of Indiana, the goal of this event is to educate professionals on international business and cultural exchange.

The symposium will cover a variety of topics including international protocol, global competency, hurdles international companies go through and how our community is changing to include people from all different countries. Service industry leaders, customer service professionals, health industry leaders, real estate agents, human resource managers, and any professional who anticipates interacting with international guests in the future are all highly encouraged to attend.

Conveniently located off I-69 in central Indiana, Madison County is an emerging suburb of the growing Indianapolis metropolitan area with a diverse economic base in various industrial sectors. Due to the vast amenities so readily available for businesses and employees alike, Madison County has attracted more than 3,500 new employees and over $1.5 billion in new investments from more than 9 different countries that represent 19 international companies. This success in Foreign Direct Investment is poised to continue well into the future of Madison County, Indiana.

The symposium will begin at 8:30am with a networking breakfast and vendor expo area and at 9:00am, the program will begin. Presentations will be made by the following organizations: LUNA Language Services, Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Marina Hadjioannou Water, the American China Society of Indiana, Executive Director Mr. Colin Renk, Japan-America Society of Indiana, Executive Director, Ms. Teresa Kulczak, and the keynote speakers will be from The International Center, President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Martin Baier, Protocol Officer Mr. Peter Kirkwood and Global Competency Training Manager, Ms. Ansuyah Naiken.
